Astronomers have come up with new information in search of the nearest black hole to Earth. It is about 1000 light-years away from the earth.
It may not sound very close, but considering the size of the universe, this one is very close.
Scientists discovered the black hole while observing two stars. They were behaving abnormally due to the presence of black holes among these stars. Typically, black holes are discovered by analyzing the way they interact with gases and dust. When they act on these elements, they emit large amounts of X-ray rays, which are captured by a telescope and analyzed to determine the location of the black hole.
But this time the black hole has been identified a little differently. So this is an unusual phenomenon.
